Every grant starts with a funder — a federal agency, a state or county program, or a private foundation. This directory profiles the funders active in the regions GrantLens covers: South Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach) and the Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco).

Each profile shows what the funder has supported, how many of its opportunities are open right now, and — where we have it — application requirements and past award history. Use it to answer the question that matters before you write a single word of a proposal: does this funder actually fund organizations like mine?
